Patient Group
The Practice is committed to improving the services for our patients. To do this it is vital that we hear from patients about their experiences, views and ideas for making services better. By being a member of the PPG you will receive news and important information about the practice and can express your views to develop the services.

Meeting Minutes
Read the minutes from our Patient Group meetings below.
Our meetings are held on the first Wednesday of every other month at the Surgery from 7-8:30pm. Come along to our next meeting on TBC.
The Care Quality Commission and Patient Participation Groups
GP Practices and other primary medical services are now regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
This means that they have to be registered with us by law. We check services to make sure they meet the national standards of quality and safety, and a central part of this involves listening to the views and experiences of people who use the service and using their views to help us make judgements about that service.
Patient participation groups (PPGs) and patient reference groups are a valuable source of information about patients’ views and experiences and it is essential that we are able to work in partnership with them when we inspect GP practices and that we are able to hear from them about patient views.
Last PPG Meeting
We hold meetings every two months via Zoom and all patients are able to attend. Our most recent meeting was on March 3rd – this was our agenda:
- Surgery Update
- Keeping the Phone Lines Open
- PCN Update – a roadmap for integration/collaboration?
- Referrals to Private Healthcare
- Covid Vaccinations – esp take-up among minority groups
- AOB
Please note that the PPG cannot become involved in matters of a specifically medical or clinical nature.
