Practice Nurse and Blood – taking Appointments

You can make an appointment to see a Practice Nurse at the surgery in the following ways;

They can deal with the following areas:

  • All aspects of wound care
  • Travel advice and immunisation – we are a yellow fever centre
  • Contraceptive advice
  • Cervical smear screening
  • Baby/child immunisation (not available to book online)
  • Administration of injections
  • Asthma and respiratory conditions, checks and advice
  • Diabetic checks/advice
  • Support with stopping smoking/weight loss
  • Minor illness and general health advice
  • Ear syringing
  • ECGs and 24-hour BP as requested by the GP
  • Phlebotomy / Blood-taking (Please bring your blood test form to this appointment)
  • Blood Pressure.  Please use our machine in reception to check you blood pressure.  Results will be passed on to the nursing team who will contact you if further monitoring is required.
