Referrals and self-referrals

Most referrals to other specialists will require you seeing or speaking with a GP. However, there are a number of local services, listed below, that you are able to make self referrals to.

We provide a professional therapeutic service for a cross section of the community, including a bespoke robust in-school therapy service. Alongside our comprehensive range of services, we also offer a free CAMHS funded Hertfordshire service for anyone that lives within the Hatfield and Welwyn area. This service is for young people aged between 13 – 19 years.

Arts On Prescription

Arts on Prescription offers courses in the arts for those suffering from stress, anxiety, depression and other conditions affecting mental wellbeing. Studies have shown that taking part in an arts activity has a positive influence on mental health and general wellbeing. It can increase self-confidence, reduce feelings of isolation and give those involved a sense of personal achievement.

Wellbeing Service

If you are registered with a GP in Hertfordshire and are over 16 and feel that you would benefit from counselling there is a method to self refer to be able to speak to someone who can help you with any difficulties you may be experiencing.

Sexual Health Hertfordshire

Advice and information, testing and treatment for sexually transmitted infections (STIs) such as Chlamydia, Syphilis, Gonorrhoea, Trichomoniasis, Herpes, Warts, Hepatitis and HIV Rapid HIV testing. Advice and Information All methods of contraception (excluding the vaginal ring) Please note, there is a 6 week wait for a routine coil procedure appointment.
