Minor Surgery

Many minor surgical procedures are carried out in the practice.

We are able to perform joint injections, toenail surgery, cryo- cautery (with liquid nitrogen) , electro-cautery (with a hot wire) as well as excisions (scalpel cutting)  of skin lumps.

However, not all minor surgery procedures are covered by the NHS. If your condition is considered cosmetic you may find that your will need to choose between leaving things as they are or funding removal with a private surgeon. Your doctor or nurse will be able to help you with this decision.

With minor surgery the recovery time is usually short and you will be back to your usual activities fairly quickly (depending on your procedure).

Before attending for minor surgery you will need to see a doctor for the diagnosis and then you will be given an appointment to attend for your procedure.
