The CQC Inspection Report for West Hertfordshire Hospitals Trust (WHHT) was published on 10th September 2015 and judged the Trust to be inadequate and it is now in special measures.
The Maltings Surgery understand that patients may be concerned, however following the inspection in April, the Trust immediately put right the urgent concerns about safety that were raised by the CQC. The Trust’s Medical Director has given his assurance that care at all the hospitals is safe. The Trust is now in special measures which means that it will now get extra support and attention to help it improve the areas of care requiring improvement identified by the CQC.
There may be short term knock on effects to patients at The Maltings Surgery such as where you may be referred to for non urgent care. Your Doctor will be able to discuss this further with you.
